I love my recent discovery of the app Spotify. This app allows you to listen to free music of many genres. I love listening to Worship music. It's music birthed in the heart of a person from the heart of God. Real music and words that bring about change. Change in the heart of the listener as they hear the music and words anointed by the artist and band.

There is a difference with Worship music in comparison to mainstream music that is played on most car radios and public places. Worship music fuels the believer to another level of enjoyment of our God that we serve and love so MUCH. As I write this I am listening to Matt Redman's latest album - 10,000 Reasons. Matt has been writing and singing Worship songs to our Father Gd for many years. He has written many of the modern day hymns we sing in churches throughout our country and the world.

Worship music brings you to a place of belonging as a believer of  our God. It stirs the heart of the one that seeks another level of relationship of God. The  cool thing is with Worship music there are no bad songs, it's inspired and relevant to the spirit of God. Worship music can take you to places of God you have never been but have desired to go.

We all have beliefs in our lives sometimes formed from our parental raising. When I was very young my parents took us to church then for some reason stopped taking us to church. We were taught that God is real and to love God and always respect the House of God. My parents always encouraged us to go to church with friends. My brothers and twin sister have visited and been in different churches and various denominations over the years. I have settled my beliefs in a charismatic or also known as a non-denominational church. 

The church as a whole as we know it today as changed as society changes our lives, lifestyles and the world. We have Mega churches with huge membership attendance. These churches have lots of ministry programs but because society dictates a strong voice, stages of  professionalism are becoming consistent in these churches and other churches through our country. 

I am not a "Yes" man. If I don't agree with you I will tell you that I don't agree with you. If all my friends think that it is Ok and I feel it is wrong then I am not going to agree just because everyone else agrees. If a preacher says something that I believe is wrong then I will disagree. Preachers can and do sometimes make mistakes. Preachers are imperfect individuals just like any one of us Many people are "Yes" people - I am now one of them. I am my ownself and my own individual.




Because of who I am and my personal convictions, I have high standards that I live by and follow. There are just many TV shows that I just can't watch. I just do not agree with offensive language and humor . it's not funny to me. To me offensive language is wrong, gross and disgusting. As a believer in the Cross and as a Christian, I just can't listen to it. I have no problem with others watching these shows, it's just me and my standards and how I live.

The Community Rescue Mission has served the residents and homeless of Fort Smith for nearly 32 years in the River Valley. It provides social services in a Christian atmosphere for thousands of individuals each year.

Favor a word that is understood by some and never heard of by many. Favor is defined by some many definitions. My definition of favor - it's the extra that God gives us. We pray for certain things and God gives us favor. Favor such as praying for a new career opportunity and you pray that you will be the chosen candidate. Favor such as someone calls you and ask to lunch or dinner and they pay . Many times favor comes in the form of simple acts. Favor is believing that God can and God will come through and will provide. Favor is a mixture of the elements of faith and  the blessings of God. Favor is asking God sometimes for what you believe you deserve.  More about this subject of favor at another time.

Live loud is a saying I have used or many years. Actually it is - live loud for God. I actually had a website domain years ago - liveLoudforGod.com. Pretty craZy I know  - live loud is defined by me as "don't hold back when it comes to living for God, if you have a chance to speak up for God - then speak up, if  you are a Christian then be a Christian, if you are going to live it - then live it".
