Saturday - 02/11 - Traveled to Boxley Valley to see Eden Falls & then onto to Kings Bluffs Falls to shoot pics of some waterfalls. I arrived in Boxley before 9:00a.m. and it was 14 degrees with a windchill of 1 degrees. The resident Trumpeter Swans swimming were near the roadside edge of Boxley Pond. These swans are beautiful to see and they are huge and so graceful. These guys were hunting for food as they continued to dunk their heads in the cold chilly water going for food. Now it's time to go to Lost Valley to see some waterfalls. Clark Creek that runs along the trail was still dry and void of water. So ready to see this creek flow with water in its natural beauty. At the natural bridge area there is a waterfall that is coming out of a large cavern. It was very aWesome to see this waterfall and to hear the flow of water. It's amaZing to me to hear the sound of a waterfall before you even see it. Traveling past this waterfall the trail follows along a large high bluff on the right side and beautiful trees and a sloped hill on the left. There are some rock steps to climb at time that make it for an easier hike. You will fall in love with this trail as there something for everyone here. The excitement builds as you go past the Eden Falls and you can begin to hear the faint roar of the water . Edens Falls is a smaller water compare to many however it is in a beautiful setting was you see it flows from high above the rocks. Going past Eden Falls you will go up some steep steps on the way to the cave. You can enter the cave but you need to take a flashlight. There is a waterfall inside the cave. I did not go inside the cave because I was by myself, being safe is always healthy. The trail officially ends here but as most areas there is always more to explore if you have the times and energy. It's what I do for fun - a hiking thing 12/26/2011
![]() Roark Bluffs at Steele Creek near Ponca, AR My brother Ricky started be on the trails of the local Boston and Ozark Mountains. What an experience it is to hike the trails of our local and regional State Parks. There is so MUCH to see when are hiking. My favorite are the bluffs and the incredible rock formations that you see and sometimes discover. Some of these rock formations are so huge in size and magnificent to look at and view. The exciting part is to experience going around a turn of a trail or just walking and discover a bluff, incredible rock formations or cavern type shelters. ![]() Glory Hole falls near Fallsville, AR Also my favorite is waterfalls. Waterfalls are just amaZing with a capital Z and simply beautiful. We are so blessed in Arkansas we have so many we can travel to see. The natural path the water travels along rocks and trees and the earth is a beautiful sight to experience. To be hiking and to begin to hear the roar of the water of a waterfall and to see it is an incredible experience. | it's me - KirkLove people - love to help people - love to make things better for people.
