the drive continues... 01/18/2012
Tuesday - Riding to win the drive of this new year. Riding for 3o minute intervals at a time. In this weight loss campaign of mine, the pain has to be endured to pursue the plan I have purposed before me. The worth of it if I can say that is my desire. Ready for the change that is going to come - a change is gonna come. We have our fitness bike positioned to be able to our big flat panel TV. Recently I have listening to tunes on Spotify on my Macbook. Tonight I am listening to Switchfoot. Great Christian band with incredible music ability and aWesome lyrics. Tonight I setup my Macbook on a wooden snack tray so I could listen to Spotify (www.Spotify.com) while I rode my fitness bike, I love(s) me some Spotify. Never listened to Spotify? Free streaming music including the latest from a huge selection of all types of genres. Spotify is partnered with Facebook. You login with your Facebook account. You can Share music with your Facebook friends. Currently listening to David Crowder band's latest album - Give Us Rest. It's a double album. AmaZing and 'Ncredible tracks of music with aWesome words. Rode for 30 minutes and traveled 6.7 miles. A condition of the mind is to get up out the recliner, to get off the couch and to begin the exercise process. Sunday started with the fitness bike for 30 minutes and going 7.7 miles. I slowed the pace down a little today per Kellie's advice. Saturday my knee was hurting a little. Kellie's wisdom kicks in and tells me to slow it down big boy. Tonight Monday - more decline pushups - 2 sets of 15 reps. Then 2 sets of 30 reps of leg lifts. I have a goal - not a dream. i will reach my goal of the new me. I can see the new "old" me - ready to be the new me. I want it and I am gonna get it and be it. It's a process... 01/07/2012
It's a process getting back to daily exercise. The mind sure is a weapon that can work against you when it come to exercise, getting back in shape process. Friday night - I managed to get in my pushups, 2 sets of 15 reps. Hey - I was wore out after watching the Razorbacks win the Cotton Bowl. Saturday afternoon - I rode the fitness bike for 30 minutes. I traveled in our exercise room 8.2 miles. Started on the resistance of 4. Stayed on 4 until after 5 miles then I had to take it down to 3 because of left knee was beginning to hurt. After about a mile I took it down one more to 2 because my left calf felt like it was going to 'charley horse' any moment. getting back to where I... 01/04/2012
Getting back to where I have been. Getting back to where I used to be. Getting back to where I was. Getting back to where I felt better, looked better and once was better. Tonight's getting back included - Pushups = 2 sets of 15 reps. Situps = 1 set of 30 reps, Leg lift crunches - 1 set of 30 reps. It's all about discipline 01/03/2012
Started riding the fitness bike tonight. Rode that puppy for 30 minutes. Next gonna do pushups - 2 sets of 15 reps. It's all about discipline - losing weight, getting fit and trim and getting in shape. It's the mind set of saying Yes I am going to be successful in my goal of weight loss. I have always said that men do fat reduction plans and women go on diets. Yes - it's a new year so here I go . The new me is going to be the old me. Ready to get happy with my physical body again. I have put on 30 lbs over the last few years. That's some tonnage that needs and is going away. Started today with pushups - 2 sets of 15 reps. Simple start on the new me to the new me.
