MUCH life
Happy New Year's Eve day - 2011 is fading 12/31/2011

5 College Bowl Games today - that is automatic good times for me & my viewing pleasure. Update on DTC football pool - still tied for 2nd place along with 6 others. Expecting great results today after this huge day of gridiron action.

Kellie is making a late breakfast (11:30am) - no worries because it is no pressure day. Kort is asleep in her room, I love it when my buddy is home. The smells of breaking cooking in the kitchen takes me back  to my childhood when my Mom would make breakfast every morning for all of us that wanted to eat. There is just something about breakfast, it's the power meal of the deal that gets you going. Ok - that was a great breakfast once again made by Kellie. Two eggs, two biscuits, ham & grits with red-eye gravy. After being married for almost 30 years, it's the first time remembered having red-eye gravy. I am now a red-eye gravy fan.

Looking out the glass front entrance door it is a picture day for Dec. 31 - currently 61 degrees. I should be outside somewhere doing some camera hunting (taking pictures). I am going to detail Kortni's car today in between watching the College bowl games. It's fun to me to detail & clean our vehicles. A clean car will give you a good feeling as you cruise around in your ride.

Following up - I found my one year daily Bible reading plan on - www.YouVersion.com . I am going to do the - M'Cheyne One Year Reading Plan -  www.youversion.com/reading-plans/mcheyne-one-year-reading-plan . Here is the description - This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from either the Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice.  Excited about the decision I have made to purpose to read God's Word every day beginning on 1/01/12. You keep the Word in your heart and good things will always happen. There's life in the Word as you read and the Holy Spirit reveals himself to you and speaks truth to your heart.

RaZorback Game Night - MUCH style 12/31/2011

Happy Friday was pretty calm at work today. Calm is good sometimes. I will always love the satisfaction of meeting the need of someone and resolving problem issues. Kellie & I Kortni picked me up from the office and we headed up the 'Hill to the RaZorback game. Kellie had bought us $10 upper deck tickets  - what a deal.  Once we got there our seats were  upper level, section 234.  By suggestion of Kellie we moved to the lower section & it was a MUCH improvement.  One of Kortni's friends (male RaZorback cheerleader) went with us after the game to eat, good food, good laughs & good times.

These seats were previously occupied by fans cheering on their favorite team. Now they are empty and await the next game.

live loud 12/29/2011

Live loud is a saying I have used or many years. Actually it is - live loud for God. I actually had a website domain years ago - liveLoudforGod.com. Pretty craZy I know  - live loud is defined by me as "don't hold back when it comes to living for God, if you have a chance to speak up for God - then speak up, if  you are a Christian then be a Christian, if you are going to live it - then live it".

The blog posts in this category will include my thoughts, feelings, observations and experiences of  living loud for God. Our God that we serve & love so MUCH is amaZing and aWesome.

Almost Friday - my favorite 12/29/2011

Almost Friday day - this is really my favorite work day. When this day is complete,  Friday is next and as a former business partner of mine used to say "it all works out on Friday". Had a good day of completing service tickets and also of covering for James while he is vacation. He is one of  four  of us in field support that support the ABF terminals. James is a good guy and we have a lot of fun together while we work. A great portion of my job involves communication. I use a headset & I am on the phone for many hours total during the day. I love communicating with people and especially following up with them.  Following up including return phone calls and responding with e-mails. I laugh when I respond back quickly to Service Center records and someone at the terminal says, well that was really quick. I was taught by my Dad  to do the job right and  do the best while I was doing the job.

DTC football pool update - I won the 1st of two games tonight & I am tied for 2nd place with another person.  Watching the 2nd game (Baylor vs Washington) with RG3 - Robert Griffin III. Great athlete, leader, speaker & not ashamed to talk about God. I am confident that Baylor will win this game. I will be 12 of out of 14 in choosing the winning team. Virtually coaching is fun, all of us armchair quarterbacks. Kellie laughs at me and sometimes gets onto to me for yelling at the players and coaches while watching the games.

Middle of the week day 12/28/2011

It's Wednesday - middle of the week day. It was a more controlled day with problems issues spaced a little father apart which allowed me to complete some projects in between. You have to be in a multi-tasking mode constantly in my position. If not voice mails add up and e-mails are left unread and Service Center records become stacking up. I have always loved the pressure and stress in a job of getting it done. Responsibility drives me and pushes me to do more than expected and make things better than before.

Ok  - back to the DTC football pool at work. Last night I was 10th out of 63. As I write I have moved to 7th. If Texas wins the Holiday Bowl (currently half time) I will move to 2nd place. Gosh that is exciting.  We all participate not for the money; there is very little involved. We do it because we love football the hope of winning something among your peers.

I decided the other day I am going to find a new - good Bible daily reading program. It's too long since I have read the Bible everyday. I used to love reading God's Word. You want and need insight and wisdom, it's in Word of God as the Holy Spirit reveals himself to you. I will follow-up when I find a good daily Bible reading program that I like, it won't be the King James version. Sorry one of my sayings is Jesus was not from England. Get it? - I do not mean to offend it is funny though you have to admit. It will be most likely the NIV version, New International Version. Or as I would say the New Intelligent Version.

Everyday - we all have them 12/27/2011

Here I will write my thoughts of the day, probably not every day but maybe. How is that for being decisive?  This will help me create my thought patterns for writing and create good writing habits. It's never hard for me to wake up every day @ 6am. I love my new career path that our God blessed me with last year in the month of May. My many-many years of skilled experience and people skills (I hope) gained me access to the company I have been wanting to work at for over 20 years. I am so honored to walk the hallways and work with the incredibly skilled people of DTC in the ABF building. Love what I do, providing second level support to the ABF terminals by solving computer problem issues. It's fun to me to fix the problems and help the users in order to keep their productivity high. What a geek I am, I know - I know but don't forgot about my people skills. That makes me laugh every time I say this.

College Bowl week - it's College Bowl week, Gosh I really like College Bowl week. Really like watching the young College guys play hard not for money but for their own recognition. Playing for pride in the game they love & to make their families proud. And Yes some of these players but only a select handful trying to reach the next level of play, the NFL. The coaches are fun to watch as they strategize and work to out coach each other. At DTC we do a football pool during football season hat includes College & NFL games. I am leading in the overall Championship. It's so exciting, I would love to win as  the "new guy" to bring recognition among the ranks of these experienced football pool players. Currently we are involved in the last football pool rightfully named Bowlnanza. Bowlnanza includes 34 College Bowl games plus the Tie Breaker game, the National Championship game with Tie Breaker points chosen by the football pool players. It's really fun to watch these games as I cheer on my pre-chosen team. After tonight I will be 8 out of 10 College Bowl games played. My team name is - MUCH Dolphins, of course.

It's what I do for fun - a hiking thing 12/26/2011

Roark Bluffs at Steele Creek near Ponca, AR
My brother Ricky started be on the trails of the local Boston and Ozark Mountains. What an experience it is to hike the trails of our local and regional State Parks. There is so MUCH to see when are hiking. My favorite are the bluffs and the incredible rock formations that you see and sometimes discover. Some of these rock formations are so huge in size and magnificent to look at and view. The exciting part is to experience going around a turn of a trail or just walking and discover a bluff, incredible rock formations or cavern type shelters.

Glory Hole falls near Fallsville, AR
Also my favorite is waterfalls. Waterfalls are just amaZing with a capital Z and simply beautiful. We are so blessed in Arkansas we have so many  we can travel to see. The natural path the water travels along rocks and trees and the earth is a beautiful sight to experience.  To be hiking and to begin to hear the roar of the water of a waterfall and to see it is an incredible experience.

Home from the 'Hill & the Holidays 12/26/2011

Gosh - it's great to have Kortni (our most cool / beautiful daughter) home from the 'Hill (the U of A  - Fayetteville) & back on the 'Ridge for the Christmas Holidays. Kortni (Kort , KG  - I have several nicknames that I call her) went with her college room mate to her home in Texas for the first week.  That's was tough on me, I was ready to see my little buddy.  It's amaZing with a capital Z how our God created the feelings of parental love that you can have for your children. Kort & I went shopping for the mama on Christmas Eve-Eve. What a fun time we had as Kortni created a new fashionable wardrobe look for Kellie at great Santa deal prices. Lot's of  laughs in the stores & of course KG's favorite Chick-fil-A for lunch.

Kortni as a freshman has excelled in her first semester classes. Kort is an art major & she is impressing her art teachers with her work. They have displayed some of her works in display cases for other students to view. Kortni's gifts and talents are an incredible blessing from our God.  I love to see her creativity begin from a thought or an image she has seen.  Of course she has a Macbook Pro & uses Adobe Photoshop, that's the kind of tools artists like KG uses. She is so funny when she calls herself a geek. Kort created an incredible picture for Kellie for Christmas, a winter scene with a snowman and used melted crayons for the background. CraZy with a capital Z and a beautiful piece of art.
